New Review: Ducane Affinity 4200

For 2012 Lowe's is carrying the Ducane line of gas grills. This 4-burner unit with side burner is an exclusive to to Lowe's and at $439USD it is less than you could have bought the 4-burner without side burner for last year. Comparatively this is a better grill than most of the ones you are going to find for this price. Made in China at Weber's factory, this grill comes with one of the best features you can buy, full Weber support. Aside from this, the Ducane Affinity 4200 is a basic grill with a simple design. This translates into better internal components that you will find on many of the grills sitting next to it.

If you have the money and access to the market you can call up a factory in China to build you a gas grill. Yes, it will be generic is construction, quality, and features, but you can stamp your name on it and call it yours. This is what Hamilton Beach has done with this gas grill. While loaded with features, this $500USD gas grill, sold at Sears, is very typical and nothing about it will make it stand out for either quality or performance.

New Review: Weber Smokey Joe Silver

The Weber Smokey Joe Portable Charcoal Grill has been a fixture on balconies (where legal of course), parks and beaches. This is a great little, lightweight charcoal grill that comes in two models, the Silver and the Gold. While it sounds like the Gold is the better grill it isn't a good idea to jump to conclusions.

New Review: STOK Island Gas Grill Model# SGP2220SB

This gas version knockoff of a Weber Performer grill is dirt cheap (around $100USD at Home Depot) and loaded with versatility. The question is, will it last or will it drive you crazy with rusting parts and broken parts.

New Review: Emeril 4-burner by Viking Model# EG300

When Emeril Lagasse and the Viking Culinary Group teamed up to to produce this large gas grill they promised a reinvention of grilling. The truth, however, is something different. The Emeril EG300 Gas Grill is a basic, 4-burner grill with a host of nearly useless "features" and a very typical design. Built of cast aluminum, powder coated steel and stainless steel of a wide range of quality, this isn't revolutionary or in truth all that great. Large, but under powered, the EG300 is inexpensive (MSRP of $850USD) if you consider who is behind it, but when you realize who is really behind it you can understand the price and the quality.

New Review: MasterBuilt 30-Inch Electric Smokehouse Smoker Model# 20070106

If you want barbecue or maybe to smoke some jerky, but don't want to spend the day stoking a fire, then a small electric smoker is probably the answer you are looking for. The Masterbuilt Smokehouse smoker has temperature control and an enclosed and insulated box that holds up to 30 pounds of food and can run for up to 24 hours. The problem with this smoker is that it isn't that simple because getting it to do exactly what you want is a little more of a challenge than it should be.
